About Us
Red Symbrae Lady 189A (1998)
Originally from Nova Scotia, Kim and Colin Palmer moved to Saskatchewan in 1993 to further Colin’s veterinary career. Having been raised on a commercial beef farm Colin had long-desired a cattle herd of his own and following the sale of our last polled Hereford cow in Nova Scotia we purchased the first 3 Red Angus females December 1997… 2 cows and a heifer.
Building the corral (summer 2004)
In 2004, we bought land of our own at our current location in Saskatoon and started building a farm from what started as a quarter section of pasture. Our first calves were born at the new location in 2006, and we built our house here in 2009-2010.
We used embryo transfer in the early years to expand the herd.
REDLMAN KING ROB 8621, was a great choice as a sire in our ET and AI program and produced many productive females for our herd. King Rob is in the pedigree of almost all of our KC Cattle Co. bred cow families.
Over the years, other cow families have joined our herd from some very respectable programs, such as the Blockana 371E from Double C Red Angus, and Red Wards Rebecca 29L from Ward's Red Angus.
In recent years, we have discovered another great foundation sire –
RED BRYLOR RED KODIAK 3A who has produced highly productive cows with exceptional maternal ability.
